About Pawnee Valley Community Hospital

Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is more than a hospital, its a healthcare success story.  Several years ago the hospital was on the brink of closing and having its critical access licensed taken away.  That did not sit wll with the community who sought the help of the Kansas attorney general and other legal experts to keep its lecense and stay open.  

The community was successful in its fight to keep the hospital's doors open and due to the fighting spirit of the people of Pawnee County, PVCH is a much different place.  PVCH is a new, beautifully designed facility that opened in 2013 and is thriving because of their energized, caring staff and a partnership with HaysMed and KU Med, one of the most progressive hospitals in the state.

PVCH is patient centered and community driven and offer servies not typically offered in a facility our size in a community the size of Larned.  Services include 24/7 emergency care, acute and silled nursing, specialized nursing services, surgical serivces, high complexity laboratory, and imaging center featuring a 64-slic CT scanner and a wid bore, short-tube 1.5 Tesla MRI, physical therapy and advanced rehabilitation, cardiac and pulmonary services and a top-notch sleep and diagnostic center.
